About the operations: In Vallentuna, school restaurants, preschool kitchens, and elderly care kitchens are organized in a food service unit under the food service director. Each kitchen has a kitchen manager responsible for their staff and activity planning. We work according to the Municipality's overarching food policy. Job duties: As a kitchen assistant, you prepare for meals, serve, wash dishes, and clean. As a cook, you prepare and cook various meals. You also participate in other tasks that arise in a kitchen. Your workplace varies and may be in different kitchens within schools, preschools, and elderly care within the Municipality. As an hourly substitute, you work weekdays during daytime hours as needed in our operations. We need substitutes who can start now during the fall term and ideally work during the spring term as well. During school breaks, our need for substitutes is very limited. We prefer that you can work as an hourly substitute with us at least 2-3 days/week. Qualifications: At least 18 years old. You master the Swedish language both spoken and written. Meritorious: Experience from large-scale kitchens, cafés, or restaurants, or a strong interest in cooking. Knowledge of special diets and their preparation. Trained cook or kitchen assistant. Driver's license, or another way to travel quickly and easily to our kitchens in Vallentuna. Personal qualities: You work toward results, demonstrate reliability, and take responsibility for planning and following up on your work. You strengthen relationships by helping others, collaborating, following rules and processes, and sharing information. You develop, improve, seek solutions, learning, and knowledge on your own initiative. You are the connector, provide service, show loyalty internally and externally, and monitor the external environment. Common values are evident in your interactions.
