As a substitute, you'll work as needed in our kitchens within preschools, schools, and elder care facilities. JOB DUTIES As a kitchen assistant, you work together with chefs and other colleagues to ensure that the kitchen's daily operations run smoothly. Your duties vary depending on the facility's needs and may include meal preparation, serving, dishwashing, cleaning, inventory management, and other kitchen tasks. You contribute to maintaining high quality meals and ensure that work is performed according to current food hygiene and self-inspection procedures. An important part of the job is creating a welcoming and pleasant meal environment for our guests. You also participate in the facility's work on sustainability and reducing food waste. QUALIFICATIONS We're looking for someone with an interest in food, service, and people. Experience from large kitchens, restaurants, cafés, or other meal services is a merit but not required. You have basic knowledge of food hygiene or a willingness to learn and follow the facility's procedures. As a person, you are responsible, flexible, and service-oriented. You enjoy varied tasks, work well with others, and contribute to a positive work environment. At the same time, you can work independently and take initiative when needed. We value that you are thorough, solution-oriented, and have good interpersonal skills. You want to help create a pleasant meal environment and give our guests a positive meal experience every day. The work involves standing work and some lifting, which requires good physical fitness. A B driver's license is a merit since work may occur at several of the municipality's kitchens.
