About the Workplace Lärande Primary School Vira is a primary school in Upplands Väsby. We are now looking for a kitchen assistant who wants to contribute to a well-functioning meal service and a safe and pleasant environment for our students. Job Duties As a kitchen assistant at Lärande Primary School Vira, your work will include common tasks in a school kitchen. Your duties will consist of: simple cooking and meal preparation, serving breakfast, lunch and snacks, dishwashing and cleaning, self-inspection and work according to current hygiene procedures, ordering and handling of goods, maintaining order in the kitchen and dining hall, close collaboration with other school staff. The work also includes handling goods and some heavy lifting. The work requires you to be organized and have good ability to plan and prioritize your tasks. You need to be able to work independently, take responsibility and also collaborate well with others. Qualifications We are looking for someone with some experience of working in a kitchen and cooking or preparing food. You don't need extensive experience, but it is important that you feel comfortable with common kitchen tasks and are willing to learn more. We would like it if you: have some experience with kitchen work and simple cooking, have basic knowledge of food hygiene, can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, are responsible, thorough and organized, work well with others, have a friendly and professional manner.
