As part of the kitchen team, you are co-responsible for achieving the kitchen's goal—providing the dining hall guests with the best possible service! The school's kitchen serves approximately 180 guests daily and offers traditional home cooking, vegetarian options, special diets, and seasonal menus inspired by different themes several times per term. Food is prepared from scratch as much as possible, with a focus on using organic and certified sustainable products. Your work includes typical large-scale kitchen tasks such as cleaning, dishwashing, pre- and post-meal preparation, and quality control. The kitchen team consists of four chefs and two kitchen assistants, and we are now seeking a new colleague who can cover during regular staff absences! This is a hourly paid position with daytime hours, though evening shifts also occur. About You You have a three-year education in restaurant/institutional catering or equivalent training/experience as assessed by the employer. You should have worked several years as a kitchen assistant and have some computer skills. Experience in school kitchens or large-scale kitchens is a plus. Library Development initiates, leads, and coordinates regional collaborative development work in the library sector. We are part of the regional development administration that works together on growth and development issues in Kalmar County.
