Description As kitchen manager, you are responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen: You lead the work, plan menus, and manage purchasing while ensuring high quality and good food safety. You work operationally together with the food/nutrition manager and catering team and contribute to a positive work environment. Your task is to plan, lead, and coordinate the daily operations of the kitchen and ensure that meal services are conducted according to the municipality's goals, guidelines, and decisions. You strive for high quality, good service, and a positive meal experience and work to develop and improve routines, working methods, and processes within the operation. Participate actively in the daily production of meals. Meal Planning and Production Your tasks include: Plan and develop menus based on nutritional recommendations, budget, and operational needs. Ensure that special diets and adapted meals are handled correctly. Follow developments in the meal services field and contribute to sustainable and modern meal solutions. Ensure that meals are produced and served with high quality. Purchasing and Finance Responsible for ordering food, consumables, and other materials. Work actively to reduce food waste and optimize resource use. Qualifications Requirements: Education in restaurant management, large-scale kitchen operations, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. Experience working in a kitchen or meal service operation. Good knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP. Good administrative ability and experience with planning and ordering. Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Class B driver's license. Meritorious: Experience in management/supervision Experience from public meal services. Knowledge of special diets, nutrition science, and sustainable meal production. Personal Qualities: Responsible and structured. Good collaboration and communication skills. Solution-oriented and flexible. Independent with good decision-making ability. Committed to quality and development issues.
