We are now seeking a passionate chef who wants to work in a team where service excellence and teamwork are central. With curiosity and enthusiasm, you create delicious and well-prepared dishes with a focus on sustainability. The position includes daily work with self-checks, having good knowledge of allergens and being able to account for all ingredients, ordering and receiving goods, as well as waste management. You will also assist with goods ordering and inventory management. About the Kitchen at Väsbyskolan At Väsbyskolan, you work in a team of approximately 5 people. You are responsible for preparing two main dishes every day for approximately 800 people, from preschool class through ninth grade and educators. You work from a set menu with recipes that are nutritionally calculated. You are also expected to be able to adapt recipes according to your target audience and feedback from guests. You report to the Kitchen Manager for Upplands Väsby Municipality and to the Unit Manager for the municipality. Who are you? You are over 18 years old You have education within hotel and restaurant with a chef specialization or equivalent You have previous experience working in restaurants You have the ability to plan and structure work efficiently Through your passion, you take responsibility for maintaining a high level of service and quality in what you deliver You recognize your importance in satisfied guests, are positive, stress-resilient, and have a natural ability to collaborate and communicate You can take own initiatives and are flexible in your professional role You speak and write Swedish Experience with menu planning systems is a plus Experience from school kitchens is a plus About Compass Group We are part of Compass Group, a world-leading provider of food, beverage, and support services.
