Vikariepoolen is seeking engaged and experienced cooks for assignments at preschools and schools in the Stockholm area during the summer break and school year 26/27. With us, you'll have the opportunity to work flexibly and decide when you want to take assignments. We match assignments based on your competencies, experience, and availability.

About the Job
As a substitute in kitchen and meal services, you play an important role in the operation when regular staff are absent. You contribute to ensuring children and students receive good, nutritious meals in a safe and well-functioning dining environment.
Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing meals from scratch and serving breakfast, lunch, and snacks
- Preparing nutritious special diets based on children's various allergies
- Ensuring self-inspection, hygiene, and that food handling complies with applicable requirements; dishwashing and cleaning the kitchen
- Contributing to a positive and well-organized work environment
About You
We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, responsible, and engaged in their work. You are comfortable taking initiative, have good planning skills, and can quickly adapt to new work environments and procedures. At the same time, you are collaborative and responsive to the operation's needs.
To be considered for this position, we see that you:
- Have education from a restaurant and food program or equivalent chef training
- Have at least six months of experience working independently as a cook in a preschool or school kitchen
- Have strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP
- Have very good knowledge of allergens and experience preparing special diets
- Have strong Swedish language skills, both written and spoken
