Göteborgs Stadsmission is now recruiting an engaged and experienced chef for the kitchen at Bräcke. The kitchen prepares meals for our internal operations as well as for external customers.
An important part of our mission is to offer job training for people who are far from the labor market. With us, people get the opportunity to develop, strengthen their skills, and take steps toward work or studies. Together, we prepare high-quality meals while contributing to a more sustainable and inclusive society.
Our kitchens work closely with Matcentralen, which means we largely prepare meals using rescued ingredients—a sustainable and meaningful way to reduce food waste while creating delicious, nutritious meals. This requires creativity, flexibility, and a genuine interest in food.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a chef with us, you will work in a kitchen with great heart and high pace. You will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving high-quality meals, with special focus on nutritious and balanced food adapted for our target group.
Your responsibilities include:
Preparation and cooking of breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Weekly menu planning in consultation with the kitchen manager
Food ordering and self-inspection according to food regulations
Adapting meals to individual needs (e.g., allergies, texture-modified diets)
Daily cleaning and hygiene routines in the kitchen
WHO ARE YOU?
We are looking for someone with:
Chef training or culinary education
Experience cooking in large-scale kitchens or restaurants
Good knowledge of specialty diets and food hygiene
Respectful and professional treatment of people in vulnerable situations
Ability to work independently and take responsibility
Driver's license (category B)
Desirable:
Training in low-arousal interaction

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
We offer permanent employment at 100% position starting with a 6-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. Working hours vary, including weekdays and holidays. We conduct interviews on a rolling basis, so don't delay submitting your application!
