What we offer you A job in a cheerful team of over 50 people who, despite being spread across 16 different workplaces, work together to provide good and pleasant meals for all meal guests of Söderköping Municipality within preschool, school, and care services. The catering unit wants to spread both joy of food and knowledge about sustainable and healthy eating habits. We prepare as much food as possible from scratch and prefer to use Swedish and locally sourced ingredients. We are all employed by the catering unit and not at a specific kitchen. We have both small kitchens with one employee to larger kitchens with up to ten employees, and in addition there are several pool positions that provide support during absences. Regardless of which kitchen you work in, you have contact with colleagues, meal guests, and clients, and you are the face of the catering unit. Job Description Working as a chef with us involves handling all tasks that occur in the kitchen and suits you if you want to take personal responsibility and have an easy time adapting your work methods based on changed circumstances. We have a large responsibility to ensure that all our meal guests with special dietary needs receive the right food, and we place great emphasis on your competence and passion for food both developing the joy of eating and guaranteeing food safety. We work in the catering data system Aromi. Orders, self-inspections, and waste measurements are other areas where a lot of work is done digitally, so it is important that you are comfortable using various digital systems. We place great emphasis on good knowledge of special diets as many of our meal guests have special needs. Qualifications You have chef training with at least 3 years of experience or other competence that the employer considers equivalent. You have a genuine interest in food and enjoy cooking from scratch. Good knowledge of and experience with special diets are meriting. Since we have extensive contact with our meal guests and written instructions are common, you need good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. You are comfortable using various digital systems. B-category driver's license and access to a car are meriting. As a person, you are skilled at organizing and planning your work independently. You are good at collaborating, take personal responsibility well, and easily adapt your work methods based on changed circumstances. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
