At Meal Service, we aim to promote healthy eating habits across all our operations. Our primary task is to prepare and serve meals to the City's municipal schools. Through food and mealtimes, we want to create the best possible conditions for children and young people's development, further studies, work, and a sustainable life. We are just over 140 employees working in our 40 kitchens. We prepare approximately 20,000 lunch portions daily for municipal schools and preschools. Our vision is to lead by example and create delicious, nutritious, and climate-smart eating habits for our guests. We want to manage Earth's resources responsibly and work purposefully, together with schools, to reduce food waste. Our menu is developed by a reference group of chefs. In our kitchens, we prepare most dishes from scratch and always choose organic ingredients when possible. We offer at least two main dishes daily and a large vegetable buffet. Job Responsibilities We are looking for an innovative chef! You should have a passionate interest in preparing good and nutritious food for our guests. You will participate in planning, procurement, meal preparation, and quality control. Together with your colleagues, you will work on introducing more climate-smart meals and contribute new ideas. We continuously work on developing our plant-based menu. We follow the Swedish Food Agency's guidelines for school meals. Together with other staff members in the school restaurant, you will participate in planning and designing the meals. You have the ability to lead and engage your colleagues. You are a trained chef with solid knowledge of nutrition, special diets, and food safety. You are a positive and inclusive colleague who can inspire and motivate others and create a good and open work environment. We would appreciate if you have experience with dietary software and digital documentation. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
