Riga Social Service Riga Social Service announces a competition for Customer Service Specialist positions (assessment of living conditions and client self-care abilities) (profession code 4222 07) Riga Social Service is a subordinate institution of the Welfare Department of Riga City Municipality that provides social assistance, organizes and delivers social services, and provides assistant services in the municipality to Riga residents. The purpose of the position is to assess clients' living conditions and the need for social care and social rehabilitation services. We will entrust you with: Conducting assessments at clients' residences, evaluating living conditions, social situation, and identifying signs of social problems; Assessing the client's physical and mental abilities, identifying the client's self-care capabilities, resources, determining the client's basic needs, evaluating the client's wishes and need for social care services; Verifying the accuracy and consistency of obtained data and information (logical and qualitative verification), making necessary corrections in the APSIS system and assessment if inconsistencies with regulatory requirements are found; When necessary, receiving written and oral submissions from clients, forwarding them to the appropriate department; Assessing client satisfaction with home care services using the developed client satisfaction assessment questionnaire; Providing accurate, understandable answers to clients' questions about types of social services and social assistance, the procedures for their provision; Cooperating with social work specialists in the process of providing and allocating social services and social assistance. We expect: First-level professional higher or academic education, or a student studying in the field of social work; Good proficiency in the state language; Ability to assess client living conditions and basic needs, functional and self-care abilities, offering clients appropriate types of social care; Ability to identify resources in the client and their social environment and the ability to engage them; Ability to identify risks in the client's residence or living situation; Ability to make independent decisions within your area of competence; Knowledge of and ability to navigate regulatory acts; Cultural sensitivity and ability to interact with people; Excellent computer and office equipment skills.
