A competitive recruitment for the position of Customer Service Specialist in the field of social work

Riga Social Service is a subordinate institution of the Welfare Department of Riga City Municipality that provides social assistance, organizes and provides social services, as well as ensures assistant services to residents of Riga within the municipality.
Position objective - to perform support functions for social work specialists.
We will entrust you with:
entering SOPA applications and decisions made on them, copying, scanning documents received from other institutions, processing information from the guardianship office regarding decisions made;
filling out and completing forms and documentation to be included in the client file that are not part of the social worker's work methods with the client (cooperation reports, opinions);
performing initial information assessment summaries in cases where further social worker involvement is not necessary;
preparing client files for archiving;
monitoring deadlines specified in the client file and preparing reports (for person assessment, rehabilitation plan implementation, risk determination, etc.);
organizing and participating in visits to the client's place of residence to assess living conditions;
organizing and/or participating in interprofessional and inter-institutional meetings, preparing meeting minutes and minute excerpts;
recording consultations and entering SOPA summaries;
preparing drafts of administrative acts, opinions, and powers of attorney;
preparing and sending invitation and information request letters;
preparing and sending requests or response letters to other institutions;
preparing and sending referrals to social service providers, coordinating with the responsible social worker, taking necessary actions to ensure SOPA service provision;
monitoring the progress of social service provision (whether the client has contacted the service provider, attends services, whether social problems have or have not been observed requiring social worker involvement), and providing collected information to the social worker;
providing accurate and understandable answers to questions of interest to clients and informing clients of their rights regarding social support;
compiling statistical data, preparing reports, answering phone calls (during social work specialists' absence), recording information and passing it to the responsible employee.
We expect:
first-level professional higher or academic education, or a student obtaining professional higher or academic education;
State language proficiency at C1 level (highest level);
skill in navigating regulatory acts;
skill in using information technology for work to ensure information flow and faster/more efficient task completion;
high communication culture and communication skills;
ability to make independent decisions within your area of competence.
We offer:

employment for an indefinite period;
social guarantees (including health insurance, annual leave allowance of up to 50% of monthly salary once per calendar year after one year of work, and paid additional leave of up to 10 working days);
monthly salary - 1355.00 EUR (before tax payment);
work location - Northern District Family Support Center, Vidrižu Street 1A, Riga.
