a recruitment competition for a Customer Service Specialist position in the field of social work

Rīgas Sociālais dienests is a subordinate institution of the Welfare Department of Rīga City Municipality that provides social assistance, organizes and delivers social services, as well as ensures assistant services in the municipality to Rīga residents.
Position purpose - to perform support functions for social work specialists.
We will entrust you with:
entering SOPA applications and decisions made on them, copying, scanning documents received from other institutions, processing information from the guardianship court regarding decisions made;
composing and filling out forms and documentation to be included in the client file that are not part of the social worker's work methodology with the client (cooperation reports, opinions);
performing summary of initial information assessment, if further involvement of a social worker is not necessary;
preparing client files for transfer to archive;
monitoring deadlines indicated in the client file and preparing reports (for person assessment, rehabilitation plan implementation, risk determination, etc.);
organizing and participating in client home visits to assess living conditions;
organizing and/or participating in inter-professional and inter-institutional meetings, preparing minutes and minute excerpts;
recording case conferences and entering SOPA summaries;
preparing drafts of administrative acts, opinions, and powers of attorney;
preparing and sending invitation and information request letters;
preparing and sending inquiries or response letters to other institutions;
preparing and sending referrals to social service providers, coordinating with the responsible social worker, taking necessary actions to ensure SOPA service provision;
monitoring the progress of social service provision (whether the client has contacted the service provider, attends services, whether social problems are or are not observed requiring social worker involvement), and providing collected information to the social worker;
providing accurate and understandable answers to questions of interest to clients and informing clients about their rights regarding social support;
compiling statistical data, preparing reports, answering phone calls (during social work specialists' absence), recording information and passing it to the responsible employee.
We expect:
first level professional higher or academic education or a student pursuing professional or academic higher education;
state language proficiency at C1 level (highest level);
ability to navigate regulatory acts;
ability to use information technology for work to ensure information flow and faster/more efficient task completion;
high communication culture and communication skills;
ability to make independent decisions within your competence.

social guarantees (including health insurance, after one year of work, vacation allowance once per calendar year up to 50% of monthly salary and paid additional vacation up to 10 working days);
monthly salary - 1355.00 EUR (before tax deduction);
work location - Pārdaugava District Family Support Centre, Eduarda Smiļģa iela 46, Rīga.
