IES Eskilstuna is one of the largest schools in Sweden with 1,185 students enrolled in grades F-9 and approx 125 staff members. We are seeking a certified teacher for Grade 2! We are looking for you, with Swedish teacher certification, who enjoys working with children in the lower grades of elementary school in a developing and international environment. You have a strong drive and initiative, and it is important that you are outgoing and have good assessment skills. Values are very important to you and they permeate your work in the classroom. About the Position As a Grade 2 teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction based on the curriculum's objectives. You work both independently and together with colleagues in close collaboration with after-school care, student support services, and guardians. You create a safe, fun, and educational environment where each student has the opportunity to grow and develop at their own pace. Qualifications Swedish teacher certification with authorization to teach grades 1-3 You can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English Understand the important connection between language development approaches and the didactic aspects of instruction in other subjects Ability to create structure, security, and good relationships Good knowledge of the curriculum and clear pedagogical leadership Experience working in elementary school is a merit A positive attitude and good collaboration skills These are permanent positions with a start date in September 2026; a probationary period applies.
