Adapted school has 52 students in primary and secondary school. We are located at both Forsdalaskolan and Tannbergsskolan; at Forsdalaskolan we have adapted primary school grades 1-6 and at Tannbergsskolan we have adapted primary school grades 7-9 and adapted secondary school grades 1-4. We are organized as one school unit under the Education Center, which in addition to the school also includes LSS short-term care and LSS student housing. After-school care for students up to 12 years old is available at Forsdalaskolan. Teachers and classroom assistants work in teams around each student group with membership in larger work groups. As a classroom assistant, you provide support to both groups and individual students during the school day. You work closely with teachers and other colleagues. All to best tailor the support that the student needs in order to develop toward the goals of the adapted school's curriculum. In your role as classroom assistant, you will follow students in pedagogical and social environments where you provide support based on each student's individual development and conditions. You participate in the activities planned during the school day. The work may in certain situations involve physical activities and elements of personal care. It is beneficial if you have experience working with people with functional variations, but personal suitability will carry the most weight.
