As a pallbearer, you are an important part of the funeral ceremony and contribute together with colleagues to create a safe and dignified farewell for family members and loved ones. The work involves carrying the casket during ceremonies and ensuring that each assignment is completed calmly and carefully. The role requires respectful conduct, responsibility-taking, and the ability to feel secure in situations where people are experiencing grief. About Us BBT is an established company in the funeral services industry that since 1990 has offered transport and ceremony services to funeral homes. We handle casket transport, pallbearer services, ceremony coordinators, and officiants and are today an important partner for funeral homes in Stockholm and surrounding areas. We strive to create security for our partners and their customers through professional and careful execution. To ensure high availability, we have casket storage in both Stockholm and Uppsala. About the Role As a pallbearer, you work at funeral ceremonies throughout the Stockholm area. You are part of a team responsible for carrying caskets in and out during ceremonies and assisting with the lowering of the casket at graveside services. The role involves being an important part of the ceremony's execution while always keeping focus on the farewell and the family members. As a pallbearer, you contribute calm, structure, and professionalism without drawing attention away from the ceremony itself. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues and follows clear procedures and ceremonial steps. You will receive introduction and training from us before you start work, and work clothing is provided by BBT. Work Tasks Carry caskets in and out during funeral ceremonies Assist with graveside services and casket lowering Represent BBT in a professional and respectful manner Collaborate with other pallbearers and ceremony personnel Follow established procedures and instructions for each assignment We Are Looking for You If You Speak Swedish fluently Have a calm, composed, and respectful demeanor Are punctual and take responsibility for your commitments Have good collaboration skills Are comfortable meeting people in sensitive and significant situations Have the physical ability to perform the work according to applicable occupational health and safety requirements A driver's license and access to your own car are merits, as assignments take place at various locations within the Stockholm area. Employment Type and Working Hours Number of positions: 20 Employment type: Assignment-based employment Working hours: Primarily weekdays during daytime, approximately 09:00–16:00. Occasional weekend assignments may occur; compensation for unsociable hours applies for these.
