Medborgarskolan operates throughout the country and our courses and cultural activities engage nearly one million participants each year. Our activities are open to everyone. Medborgarskolan Region Väst, with a regional office in Gothenburg, covers Västra Götaland and Halland and operates over 45 activity locations throughout the region. We are a nonprofit organization that, in addition to traditional folk education, also conducts school activities, corporate training, and labor market initiatives. Medborgarskolan Region Väst has an annual turnover of approximately 185 million SEK and employs approximately 200 people. Medborgarskolan in Borås is seeking a ceramic instructor for fall semester 2026 and beyond. Are you passionate about ceramics and creative work and want to share your knowledge? We are now looking for dedicated ceramic instructors who want to teach courses with us starting fall semester 2026. The courses consist of 8 sessions of 3 hours each and are held primarily in the evening once a week. Other arrangements may be added, such as daytime and weekend courses, in consultation with the coordinator if you have the capacity to take on additional courses. About the Role As a ceramic instructor at Medborgarskolan, you will have the opportunity to inspire participants and guide them in their creative work. You will plan and conduct your sessions independently, but with support from our organization. Your Responsibilities Lead and teach ceramics. Prepare inspiring and developmental course sessions. Adapt instruction to the group's level and needs. Introduce various ceramic and creative techniques. Finish participants' work through glazing and firing. Responsibly manage and maintain the ceramic kiln. Keep the ceramic workshop clean and organized. Create a safe, creative, and inclusive environment for participants. We Are Looking for You If You Have experience and strong knowledge in ceramics. Are dedicated, pedagogical, and creative. Have experience teaching or leading groups (desirable but not required). Want to contribute to folk education and create meaningful experiences for our participants. We Offer Pay per study hour (45 minutes). Opportunity to teach at times that suit you, primarily evenings.
