You will have great opportunity to influence how the area develops and contribute to creating safe conditions for the Armed Forces' operations. The formal position title is BVKF Manager, but the role corresponds in many operations to a chemical coordinator, chemical safety specialist, HSE/EHS specialist, or safety specialist. About the role As a chemical coordinator, you work both strategically and operatively with issues concerning chemical management, hazardous materials, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance. The role serves as support to managers and operations on issues related to legal requirements, safe handling, and development of routines and processes. Since the function is under development, you and your colleague will have a central role in establishing working methods and governance in the area. The work also involves collaboration with operations at several locations within the region, which involves some travel. Responsibilities You will, among other things: Develop and implement routines, processes, and governing documents for chemical management and hazardous materials. Support the operation with questions regarding chemical safety and legislation. Conduct and follow up on risk assessments. Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal governing documents. Provide advice and support to managers and employees. Plan and conduct training and information initiatives. Participate in investigations, follow-ups, and improvement work. Monitor developments in legislation and regulatory requirements. We are looking for someone who has: Relevant university or college education in, for example, chemistry, environment, occupational health, safety, engineering, or another field that the employer considers relevant, or equivalent competence acquired through work experience that the employer considers equivalent. Experience from industry, energy, laboratory operations, pharmaceuticals, public operations, or other regulated operations. Experience working with chemical management, chemical safety, occupational environment, safety, or related fields. Experience working with legal requirements, regulations, or regulatory requirements. Experience with risk assessments or other systematic safety work. Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office. B-class driver's license. It is meritorious if you have: Experience working with hazardous materials. Knowledge of chemical legislation such as REACH and CLP. Experience with process or operations development. Experience educating or supporting operations within the safety or chemical field.
