About the Position Procurement at Södra strives to achieve world-class efficiency, sustainable business, and continuous development. We are a dedicated team with specialized expertise in the procurement chain and are now seeking a Category Manager to work together with Södra Skog to develop our procurement within forest-related procurement categories. What You'll Work With at Södra In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for developing, implementing, and following up on objectives and strategies within specific procurement categories. You will ensure that procurement processes are efficient and that the provision of services is conducted with a focus on quality, availability, sustainability, and cost optimization, always with safety as the highest priority. As Category Manager, you will: -Lead and coordinate category teams with purchasers. -Be responsible for procurement, contract management, and supplier management. -Work with risk management and sustainability issues within your category. -Collaborate closely with the Södra Skog business area, suppliers, and other purchasers. -Drive change initiatives and develop administrative procurement processes. This is a permanent position and is located at our head office in Växjö or at one of our units. Travel within Sweden as part of the job occurs. Who Are We Looking For? We are seeking someone with forest education or equivalent experience in forest operations, where background from the contracting side with a focus on thinning and harvesting resources is meritorious but not decisive. You have previously worked with negotiations and contract management where structure and planning have been central elements. You should also have: -Class B driver's license. -Strong knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. -Strong analytical ability with experience working in Excel and modern procurement systems. As a person, you are organized and have the ability to plan and prioritize both your own and others' work. You work methodically and results-oriented with a strategic perspective and have good communication skills. Creating and maintaining long-term relationships is a given for you.
