We are now seeking a reactor safety engineer for the NESE group – Licensing Electrical and Electrical Analysis. The group is part of the Facility Design unit in Forsmark's Technical Department. Job Description The group you will join is responsible for developing radiation safety documentation (SAR), conducting primary radiation safety reviews, and facility design in the areas of electrical and I&C. The group also performs dynamic electrical analyses. As a reactor safety and electrical engineer, you will be part of a team with a culture characterized by well-being, inclusion, and helpfulness. The group consists of approximately ten people of different genders and ages with varying levels of experience. The position involves reactor safety and its connection to the facility's electrical and control systems. Work tasks include: Conducting primary radiation safety reviews, which are performed when there are changes in design or documentation in order to ensure maintained or increased radiation safety. Ensuring that radiation safety documentation in the area meets current requirements through creation and revision due to new requirements, discovered errors, environmental monitoring, or other lessons learned. Working with facility design during changes in the plant, either as an executor or, if needed, as a leader of a temporarily assembled group to develop relevant facility requirements. Providing support on reactor safety issues. This is often done in the form of documented assessments and opinions to support Forsmark's operations management or other parts of the organization. Requirements We would like you to have Relevant engineering education combined with professional experience in the field, or to have built up equivalent technical competence through work experience within nuclear power, such as through work in operations, maintenance, or design. Good knowledge of Swedish and English. This is required as an important part of the work involves reading and writing reports in Swedish as well as reading and applying international guidelines and standards. It is a plus if you have good facility knowledge and experience in nuclear power technology, reactor safety, requirements management, or safety documentation, preferably in areas such as automation or electrical power. To succeed and thrive in the role with us, you need well-developed technical judgment, work in a structured manner, and take responsibility for driving issues to completion. You are accustomed to collaborating with different parts of the organization and formulating clear, well-founded technical assessments.
