The State Employment Agency (hereinafter - the Agency) announces a competition for a vacant position - Career Consultant at the Cēsu Customer Service Center of the Cēsu Branch (1 position, 1 full-time equivalent for a fixed term of up to 1.5 years) Position Objective: To advise clients on career choice matters, provide informative and methodological support in the job search process and professional development, and provide support to employers in selecting suitable employees. Organize the participation of unemployed persons and job seekers in active employment measures and preventive unemployment reduction measures. Requirements for Candidates: Bachelor's degree or second-level professional higher education: Obtained or obtaining (second-year student) a professional master's degree in education sciences with a qualification in career consulting or a professional master's degree in human resources management or psychology; one year of experience in career consulting or two years of experience in client consulting (in addressing social and/or employment issues), if a bachelor's degree in pedagogy or social work has been obtained; one year of experience in career consulting is desirable if a bachelor's degree in psychology or a professional master's degree in education sciences with a career consulting qualification or human resources management has been obtained, or if currently in the second year of the aforementioned master's programs; work experience in career consulting of no less than five years, if a bachelor's degree or second-level professional higher education has been obtained, excluding those with a bachelor's degree in psychology, pedagogy, social work, or those who have obtained or are obtaining (second-year student) a professional master's degree in education sciences with a career consulting qualification or a professional master's degree in human resources management; work experience in employment and/or personnel selection is desirable; knowledge of the regulatory acts in force in the Republic of Latvia within the scope of the position's competencies; counseling skills; knowledge of the personnel selection process; communication, presentation, planning, control, and analytical skills; ability to evaluate facts, anticipate and prevent risks; English language knowledge for communication with clients of other nationalities is desirable; computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to work with office equipment; a valid e-signature tool is required for the performance of the position's duties. Main Duties of the Position: Provide individual and group career consultations according to clients' preferences and consultation objectives in accordance with thematic divisions; Identify and consult with target client groups (long-term unemployed, persons on parental leave, young people, persons with special needs, clients aged 50+, persons who have served sentences in institutions of deprivation of liberty, persons in institutions of deprivation of liberty, etc.); Taking into account the client's needs (including using profiling methods for the unemployed) and proposals, determine the measures to be included in the Individual Job Search Plan or Job Seeker Card that would facilitate the client's return to the labor market; plan client participation and ensure the fulfillment of the Agency-approved career consultation performance indicators; organize and conduct appropriate candidate selection for filling vacant positions at the request of employers. The candidate evaluation commission will not evaluate applications that do not include the documents specified in the announcement. We will contact those candidates who are selected for the second round of personnel selection. The selection competition will be held in three rounds: First Round - evaluation of candidates' education and work experience based on submitted documents. Second Round – practical tasks, based on the results of which the candidate's professional knowledge will be evaluated. Third Round - interview, during which the candidate's knowledge and competencies will be evaluated in accordance with the requirements established for the position. Candidates who achieve the highest score on the practical tasks will be invited to the interview. The Agency asks candidates, when applying to participate in the selection competition, not to provide additional data, including special category personal data, that is not necessary to evaluate the candidate's suitability for the specific vacancy. In the event that a candidate submits personal data that is not necessary within the scope of the selection process, it is considered that the candidate has consented to the processing of such personal data. Based on Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46 EC (General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter – GDPR), the Agency informs that: 1.
