The Investigation Unit The regional investigation unit is a central part of the region's joint crime prevention efforts. Operations are organizationally divided into the Action Group Section, the Forensic Section, the Investigation Section, the Regional IT Crime Center, and the new Sensor Section, all working toward creating maximum impact together. The Camera Surveillance Center (KBC) is intended to support operational work in the field, investigation work, and has been part of the newly established Sensor Section since September. KBC's work involves collaborating with other operations to contribute to information-driven crime prevention. Job Description Camera surveillance is a rapidly growing and important part of the Swedish Police Authority. As a Camera Operator, you work shifts around the clock in connection with and in close cooperation with the regional control center. The work involves monitoring areas in real time through cameras and supporting both operational work as well as surveillance and investigation work in the region. Within KBC, work is also conducted with UAS as part of DFR (Drone as First Responder), as part of developing the police's ability to quickly establish situational awareness and support operational activities. The Police Authority is continuously working to become more modern, forward-thinking, and efficient. KBC is a major part of this effort and is today an established and sought-after resource within our region. As the function is in constant development, there are great opportunities to shape routines and methods together with others in the group. Main Responsibilities: · Follow current cases and participate in minute-to-minute operational work. · Support investigation and prosecution processes by actively participating in the information flow about local problem areas within the camera-monitored zone. · Detect crimes by actively monitoring the flow within the camera-monitored area and identifying deviant behavior. · Support local and regional units by providing situational awareness and suspect descriptions to, for example, external resources upon request or in sudden situations.
