Your role as an Estimating Engineer As an estimating engineer at Svevia, you drive the estimation work from request for proposal documents to completed bid proposals in our construction projects. You work both independently and in teams, especially on larger projects. The role is broad and includes everything from time and cost estimation to planning, monitoring, procurement, and assessment of risks and opportunities. You have an important role in contributing to development and innovation by staying updated on techniques, prices, and alternative methods and materials. You collaborate closely with buyers, project managers, and site managers, and become part of a competent team. You report to the work manager. Who Are You? With your structured and planning ability, you take responsibility for your tasks and drive them forward with precision. You are analytical and solution-oriented, which means you can quickly identify opportunities and handle challenges in an efficient manner. We would like to see that you bring the following experience and prior knowledge: A couple of years of experience in a role as estimator/estimating engineer Experience with request for proposal documents and bid work in construction and infrastructure projects Knowledge of AMA/MER Construction, contract law, LOU, and MAP Class B driver's license Fluent Swedish in speech and writing Part of Something Bigger With well-coordinated work teams, we build Sweden from the ground up – in concrete, steel, wood, stone, and earth. And we do it by building roads, bridges, quays, and concrete structures for industry, the state, and municipalities. We also break new ground and pave the way for water and sewage networks, wind farms, and development areas. We also have specialized units in foundation and soil remediation.
