The Operations and Maintenance Department is responsible for planning, procurement, implementation, and follow-up of operations and maintenance. In collaboration with other departments, administrations, and companies, the department contributes to long-term planning, implementation, and follow-up of the city's operations and maintenance. The department consists of five operational areas with associated units. Responsibilities We are now seeking two Estimator/Contract Engineers who want to work on ensuring efficient project management. The work includes, among other things, preparing estimates, procurement documents, production budgets, schedule and financial reconciliations. Additional tasks include developing quality, environmental, and workplace safety plans as well as leading and participating in project and construction meetings. You will become an important key person in our projects where you support project managers in different project phases. Depending on the size of the projects, you work with one or multiple projects simultaneously. The work is performed in close collaboration with procurement specialists and other project support functions. Your contact points are clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. You need an eye for detail and a willingness to think creatively. Good collaboration skills and an ability to build trust are important. You have at least a 3-year higher education degree in construction or civil engineering as well as knowledge of contract law, AB, ABT, ABK, and ground AMA. A class B driver's license and good skills in Word and Excel are required. Experience with ground production, calculating ground and road projects, as well as planning and follow-up are advantageous. Having worked with this in the civil engineering sector is a plus. It is also advantageous to have worked with estimating programs and project management programs (e.g. MAP, Antura).
