About the position This position is a direct recruitment, which means the recruitment process is conducted through Bravura and you will be employed directly by Gröna Svealand. About the company Gröna Svealand, formerly Svensk Markservice Svealand, maintains, develops and creates outdoor environments for both public and private property owners. The business includes landscape maintenance, planting, construction work, snow removal, design, and specialized services for outdoor environments. The company is part of Green Landscaping Group. As part of the company's continued growth, the business organization is now being strengthened with an estimator. This is a new role where you get to combine operational estimation work with the opportunity to develop tools, pricing models and working methods. You will work from the office in Uppsala, report directly to the CEO and be part of a small business team with close collaboration with the company's business developer and production organization. Responsibilities As an estimator, you are responsible for preparing and quality assuring estimates for both public procurement bids and direct agreements with property companies, private actors and housing associations. The assignments vary in size and complexity. One moment you work systematically from a comprehensive request for proposal, the next you need to create an appropriate estimation model for a smaller and less standardized business. Your responsibility extends beyond getting the numbers technically correct. You assess margins, risks and commercial conditions, and ensure that pricing supports the company's profitability requirements and strategic direction. You are expected to critically review the materials, ask relevant questions and clearly point out when an estimate needs adjustment or supplementation. In your daily work, you work closely with the business developer on bids, pricing and business opportunities. You provide decision-making materials when the company decides which requests should be prioritized and support production managers with estimation materials as needed. The role also includes monitoring of estimation methodology, price databases and pricing models across different locations and business types. To create well-founded estimates, you sometimes need to visit the site where the work will be performed. You thus combine desk analysis with a practical understanding of the conditions in the business. Your main responsibilities are to: Prepare estimates for public procurement bids and direct agreements and quality assure technical and commercial materials. Assess pricing, margins and estimate risks based on the company's profitability requirements. Provide decision-making materials for the selection of contracts, quote preparation and bid submission together with the business developer. Develop and monitor estimation tools, templates, price databases and shared pricing models. Visit work sites and customers when the estimate requires an assessment of the practical conditions. Education, experience and personal qualities Several years of experience as an estimator, estimation engineer, bid engineer or equivalent role with personal responsibility for estimation and bid work. Ability to connect estimates and pricing to margins, profitability and business decisions. Relevant post-secondary education in economics, construction, civil engineering or technology, or equivalent work experience. Fluent Swedish in speech and writing and a B driver's license. Basic IT skills. Desirable with practical professional background in landscape, civil engineering or related activities. Desirable with experience in estimates for maintenance, outdoor environments, parks and landscaping or civil engineering. To succeed in this role, you need to be able to switch between careful analysis and business considerations. You methodically work through figures and materials, but don't get stuck when information is incomplete or the assignment lacks a ready-made estimation template. In these situations, you take initiative, gather what's missing and create a structure that fits the business. You stand by your assessments and can explain why an estimate needs adjustment, even when the pace is high or others want to move forward quickly. At the same time, you understand that the role is built on collaboration. You raise objections factually, ask questions that move the work forward and help the team find a balance between pace, quality and profitability.
