A competition is being announced for a jurist (civil servant) position for an indefinite period
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Professional, responsible, courageous, and collaborative colleagues who can provide legal expertise in a dynamic work environment, who are ready to defend the interests of the state in Latvia and abroad, and who meet the following requirements:
Compliance with the requirements of Section 5 of Article 3 of the Diplomatic and Consular Service Law and the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law;
Higher academic education or second-level professional higher education in legal sciences (can also be a master's program student);
Ability to express and argue opinions verbally and in writing, conversation and communication skills;
Ability to make independent decisions, promptly resolve complex issues under conditions of high intensity, and take responsibility;
Ability to assess priorities, plan, and organize work completion within a specified timeframe;
Desire to continuously improve your knowledge and skills;
English language skills at least B2 level for work in the foreign service; knowledge of other foreign languages will be considered an advantage;
Experience in preparing and evaluating civil contracts, internal and external regulations, and other document drafts.

KEY DUTIES OF THE POSITION
Provide legal support for the ministry's functions and tasks;
Prepare and evaluate civil contracts, internal and external regulations, and other document drafts, justifying your opinion;
Prepare opinions on legal act drafts prepared by other institutions;
Prepare responses to institutions and private individuals.
