We are now seeking a lawyer for the HR department, the Personnel Responsibility Board (PAN) with placement in Stockholm. With us, you will develop together with engaged and motivating colleagues, while your work contributes to increasing safety and reducing crime in Sweden. The Personnel Responsibility Board (PAN) handles cases where employees of the Swedish Police Authority are subject to review under the Employment Protection Act (1982:80) and the Public Employment Act (1994:260) regarding termination of employment due to personal circumstances and disciplinary responsibility. The Board also handles appealed cases concerning police students. The National Police Commissioner serves as the Board's chair. Cases are prepared at the Board's secretariat, which consists of the vice chair, three case officers, and an administrator. The secretariat also prepares cases concerning employees reviewed by the State Responsibility Board. Job Description The assignment as case officer at the Personnel Responsibility Board includes the following work tasks: Prepare and present cases at the Personnel Responsibility Board Conduct consultations with employees and labor organizations Provide advice and support to regional groups for termination and disciplinary cases (GSD) Prepare meetings and conferences with GSD staff Prepare cases concerning employees reviewed by the State Responsibility Board Inform about the Board's activities within the Police Authority Prepare annual activity reports Draft policy documents in the area The work is primarily performed in the office. Qualifications This is an opportunity for you who have: A law degree Very good and current experience with independent legal work that the employer considers relevant for the position and includes at least two years of full-time work Very good knowledge of Swedish Swedish citizenship It is considered advantageous if you also: Have current experience working within the Police or other government operations that the employer considers relevant Have district court qualification Have current knowledge and work experience in labor law and criminal law that the employer considers relevant Have experience as a case officer that the employer considers relevant Have experience with qualified written presentation that the employer considers relevant Personal Qualities To succeed in the role of lawyer within the police, you should be solution-focused, flexible, and able to deliver high quality work even during periods of high work tempo. You have the ability to work independently and take your own initiative, as well as good collaboration skills. You are clear in your communication and have excellent communication abilities. You are organized, thorough, and have a sense of order. We will place great emphasis on personal qualities.
