Within the Local Facilities Unit, we work with planning, developing, building, and ensuring appropriate and cost-efficient facilities across the country. Through strategic planning, close collaboration with Police Operations, and implementation of both minor adaptations and major facility projects, we contribute to creating the conditions for future Police Operations. The Swedish Police Authority rents various types of facilities depending on the operations conducted. Some of these are police stations, office facilities, operational facilities, vehicle and garage facilities, training and exercise facilities, storage and warehouse facilities, and detention facilities. The agency rents all facilities from external landlords depending on the type of facility. The current facility portfolio comprises approximately 1.8 million square meters, distributed across approximately 1,850 lease agreements with more than 500 different landlords. The Development Section is responsible for developing governing documents and standards within the facility management area and monitoring their compliance. The section has overall responsibility for planning and monitoring the unit's activities and deliverables, internal communication, and the agency's lease agreements. Our work is conducted in three groups – legal, technical, and governance and analysis. The unit's management support is also located with us. We are now seeking a lawyer who wants to work with providing legal support in various project and lease processes. You will be part of the Legal Group, which consists of seven lawyers and two lease administrators. The group's employees are located in Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö. Job Duties In the role of lawyer, you will, together with other members of the Legal Group, provide qualified support to the Local Facilities Unit's employees. Principal duties include: participate in lease negotiations with landlords, review lease agreements and handle terminations, as well as serve as representative in the rent tribunal participate in procurement of lease agreements develop project and implementation agreements in the unit's new construction, extensions, and renovation projects together with the group and section, further develop strategies and processes within the facility management area participate in the unit's development work Qualifications This is an opportunity for you who have: a law degree (juris kandidat/jur.kand.) experience working with contract law and contract management or other experience that the employer deems relevant good knowledge of Swedish Swedish citizenship It is advantageous if you also have: experience working with commercial lease legislation experience handling real estate law agreements experience conducting contract negotiations experience providing legal expert support previous experience working within the Swedish Police Authority knowledge and experience in construction law current experience using digital tools Personal Qualities To be successful in the role of lawyer, you are expected to have good teamwork skills and a modest attitude, while also being analytically minded. Good communication skills are also important. You should be organized and able to prioritize, as well as have the ability to see your part in the bigger picture.
