About the Agency
The Agency for Security and Privacy Protection is a government agency tasked with assisting the Security and Privacy Protection Board, a special decision-making body within the agency, in its oversight of, among other things, law enforcement agencies' use of coercive measures and qualified protective identities, and the Police Authority's and Security Police's processing of personal data in law enforcement activities. In delegations within the agency, matters concerning permits for qualified protective identities and register control matters are handled.

Duties
The Agency's oversight activities are divided between two units, one primarily focused on coercive measures and one primarily focused on personal data processing. You will be placed at the unit focused on coercive measures but may work on matters relating to the entire agency's area of responsibility.
Your duties will primarily consist of handling and presenting cases that arise in the agency's operations and conducting legal investigations. You will also participate in inspections and other investigations at law enforcement agencies, as well as prepare and present responses to referrals.
About You
We are seeking a qualified attorney with at least two additional years of experience in advanced legal work.
It is advantageous if you have:
·experience with oversight work
·experience with legal work at a law enforcement agency or the Government Offices
·knowledge of and practical application of the regulations governing the use of coercive measures
Personal Qualities
You are a responsible, initiative-taking, and meticulous person who is accustomed to working independently and in a structured manner. You are analytical and have good judgment. Additionally, you must have strong written and verbal communication skills and a good ability to cooperate with others. To thrive in this role, you should have an interest in privacy protection issues. The activities place high demands on security and confidentiality; therefore, it is required that you have a high security awareness.
Great weight is placed on your personal qualities.
About the Employment
Form of Employment: Permanent. The Agency applies a six-month probationary period.

Since the position is classified as a security position, Swedish citizenship is required. Approved security clearance with register control is a prerequisite for employment.
Other Information
The Agency changed its management structure on March 1, 2026. It then transitioned from being a board agency led by the Security and Privacy Protection Board to becoming a single-director agency led by a Director. In connection with this, the Agency changed its name from the Security and Privacy Protection Board to the Agency for Security and Privacy Protection. The Board's oversight mandate was not affected by this change.
