PTS is Sweden's coordinator for digital services (Digital Services Coordinator) and supervisory authority for several provisions in the regulation. It is our unit that is responsible for PTS's DSA work. About the role As a lawyer in the Online Platforms Unit, you will work broadly with legal issues related to general administrative law, data protection, and freedom of information and confidentiality. An important part of the role is to independently conduct legal investigations and quickly familiarize yourself with new and complex legislation. The work can include participating in supervisory work, writing and presenting decisions and responses to consultations, contributing to regulatory development, and assisting in potential court proceedings. You may also represent PTS in national and international contexts, for example through participation in international working groups and contacts with market players, industry representatives, other authorities, and organizations. The role also includes contributing to the development of our internal processes and working methods. Work tasks may change and develop as our mandate and legal area evolve. About the team The Online Platforms Unit is one of four units within the Market Regulation Department. The unit currently has a project manager, nine lawyers, an assistant, and two case handlers. Since the area we operate in is constantly growing and evolving, the unit is expected to expand accordingly. We are looking for someone who has: Swedish law degree (270 hp, previously jur.kand.). Notarial service. Several years of experience with legal work as a government lawyer, municipal lawyer, or other experience with practical legal matters deemed comparable. Very good communication skills in speech and writing in Swedish and English. It is also an advantage if you have: Good knowledge of general administrative law, data protection legislation, and freedom of information and confidentiality legislation. Current and practical experience with regulatory development at a government agency. Current and practical experience with supervisory work in the public sector.
