Your Assignment As a lawyer in social services, you'll be part of the department's specialist support team and work closely with managers, case officers, and elected officials. You'll provide qualified legal advice and help ensure that decisions and processes maintain high legal quality. In this role, you'll work with: providing legal support in complex matters according to the Social Services Act, LSS, LVU, LVM, OSL, and Administrative Procedure Act representing the social welfare board in administrative court and providing advisory support throughout the process reviewing decision bases, agreements, and governance documents from a legal perspective assisting with negotiations and other legal processes planning and conducting training for managers, case officers, and elected officials in relevant areas of law monitoring legal developments and contributing to quality and development work within the department serving as the department's data protection officer providing advisory support on IT law matters, such as welfare technology Your Qualifications We're looking for someone who is confident in your legal expertise and comfortable in an advisory role. You have an analytical approach and can translate complex legal matters into clear and practically applicable advice. You work independently, take responsibility for your assignments, and at the same time collaborate easily with people from different backgrounds and experiences. You're skilled at planning and prioritizing your work and thrive in an environment where the pace can sometimes be high. Since you'll be working closely with both civil servants and elected officials, it's important that you're attentive, pedagogical, and understand how a politically governed organization functions. We're looking for someone who has A degree in law (juristexamen or jur.kand.) Experience with legal work, preferably within municipal administration Strong knowledge of the Social Services Act, LSS, OSL, Administrative Procedure Act, and GDPR Excellent ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish It's advantageous if you have Experience with proceedings in administrative court Experience as a court clerk or administrative court clerk Experience working in municipal social services or a state authority, such as the Care Inspectorate (IVO) General knowledge of IT law What We Offer You With us, you'll have an independent and developing role where you have a great opportunity to influence and contribute to the department's development.
