(Registration No. 90009225180) announces a competition for an employee position Legal Counsel in the Legal and Procurement Support Department Infrastructure and Management Contracts and Procurement Division (2 vacancies for an indefinite period) We offer: • a position where your professional knowledge, abilities, and contribution will be valued • opportunities for continuous professional development • good working conditions, qualified and supportive colleagues • a mentor and new employee training upon starting work • flexible working hours, social guarantees, health insurance policy after the probation period, paid additional leave • a workplace in Āgenskalns - Riga, 34 Ernestīnes Street and in Alūksne, 1 Lāčplēša Street • stable salary (before tax payment) - 1483 euro (during probation period), 1752 euro (after probation period ends) We expect: • compliance with the requirements of Article 9 of the Law "On State Secrets" • academic or second-level higher professional legal education • good knowledge and understanding of legal fields corresponding to the division's scope of activity (administrative law and civil law) • preferably one year of work experience as a lawyer/legal counsel • preferably experience in public procurement, construction, or property management • competencies: analytical thinking, teamwork, results-oriented approach, independence, ethical behavior • good skills in using technical tools and systems (MS Office applications and web browsers at user level) • eID card for performing job duties Main job duties: • participate in the work of procurement commissions and working groups, in accordance with the division's competence (construction, real property maintenance and management) • draft and legally manage contracts (evaluation of warranty obligations, dispute resolution, etc.) whose subject matter corresponds to the division's competence • perform legal analysis of documents and provide legal opinions • represent the Center's interests at the Public Procurement Supervisory Bureau, courts, and other institutions We inform you that the position competition will take place in two rounds - during the first round, the competition commission will evaluate the submitted documents and the candidates' compliance with the requirements. For the second round of selection - interview - the competition commission will invite only candidates who have passed the first round of selection.
