Are you an educated engineer in mechanical engineering and do you prefer to combine practical work with analysis and problem-solving? We are now seeking a junior test engineer for our client who wants to work with mechanical and climatic testing of technically advanced products.
ABOUT THE ROLEAs a test engineer, you will be part of a team that works to ensure and verify that the company's products function and perform in the customers' installation environments. The focus is on how products are affected by external environmental factors such as heat, cold, water, dust, impacts, and vibrations.
The work is primarily carried out through practical testing in the company's own laboratories. You will also be involved in product development projects and work closely with engineers in mechanics, electronics, and software to ensure that products meet established requirements and specifications.
This role is perfect for you if you enjoy understanding how mechanical constructions work in practice and want to develop your skills in testing, quality assurance, and product development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, prepare, and conduct mechanical and climatic environmental durability tests
Test how products are affected by, for example, vibrations, impacts, heat, cold, water, and dust
Analyze test results and identify any deviations
Troubleshoot mechanical constructions together with development engineers
Document and report results from completed tests
Participate in requirements definition and test planning in product development projects
Contribute to the development of test cases, test methods, and test equipment
Coordinate and prioritize tasks in multiple parallel projects
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU TO
Have a university or civil engineering degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
Communicate fluently in Swedish and English in both speech and writing as both languages are used in daily work
It is not a requirement but a merit if you have
Previous experience with laboratory work, environmental durability testing, or mechanical and climatic tests.
