Do you want to work with advanced high-tech equipment where software, electronics, and hardware meet? Here you'll deepen your knowledge of Linux, troubleshoot complex systems, and work closely with both service engineers and development teams. A development opportunity for someone driven by technical problem-solving who wants to understand how complete systems work in depth. About the role: In this position, you'll work in a technical support team focused on system software and operating environment. The equipment is used by international customers in high-tech production and consists of multiple components that need to communicate and function together. When a technical problem arises, you investigate the system from a holistic perspective. You examine logs, check processes and configurations, and analyze how information is transmitted between different components. The work takes place mainly in Ubuntu/Linux and may also involve developing scripts in Python or Bash. You'll have close contact with both service engineers and development teams, working together to drive troubleshooting forward and document solutions. The role also gives you international contacts and opportunities to travel abroad on business. Key responsibilities: Investigate the root cause of errors by analyzing logs, processes, and configurations Examine communication between different parts of the system Use Python or Bash for scripting and simple automation Drive technical issues forward together with service and development Document solutions and create clear instructions Contribute to improving the team's troubleshooting and support methods What we're looking for: You have a civil or engineering degree in a relevant technical field You have knowledge of Linux and an interest in software-level troubleshooting You have a basic understanding of electronics and hardware You have excellent skills in Swedish and English, as both languages are used in the work It's a merit if you have experience with Python, Bash, TCP/IP, embedded systems, or real-time systems. Experience with automation, industrial systems, or hardware-software integration is also relevant. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. About the employment: This is a consulting assignment, which means you will initially be employed by Friday.
