About the Position Would you like to develop software that makes a concrete difference in healthcare? Here you'll work with technical solutions used close to both product and production in an advanced medical device environment. As a junior software developer, you'll be part of a smaller, operationally-focused team that develops and further develops internal software solutions to control, test, and quality assure technical products, as well as manage data and communication between different components. The focus is on object-oriented development in Python and Linux environment. You'll work with: Development and further development in Python Testing, debugging, and validation Database communication and handling of technical information Communication between software and technical components Basic user interface development Documentation and quality assurance This role is perfect for you if you want to develop as a software developer and find it exciting to understand how software interacts with hardware and is used in a physical production and product environment. Since the business is medical device-related, quality, traceability, and thorough documentation are a natural part of the work. You don't need experience from a regulated industry – what matters is that you want to learn and appreciate structured and testable development. We believe you'll thrive in this role if you: Have a good understanding of object-oriented programming and experience with Python through studies, projects, internships, or work Are comfortable with, or curious about, Linux and enjoy problem-solving, debugging, and testing Want to develop robust, understandable, and maintainable code Have broad technical interests and want to understand the interaction between software, hardware, and physical product Meritorious experience includes: Backend or systems development and databases Testing, simulation, or validation Communication with hardware, instruments, or other technical systems GUI development, for example Qt Medtech, life science, or other quality-controlled operations You don't need to know everything from the start. Practical Information This is a full-time position that starts as a consultant employment through Xamera, with the goal of transitioning to employment with the company after approximately one year.
