Do you want to help shape the future of railways in Scania while developing your project management skills? In the Hässleholm-Lund Program, you'll get to be involved from an early stage in one of the Swedish Transport Administration's major investments to increase capacity in the Scanian railway network. Between Hässleholm and Klostergården in southern Lund, two new railway tracks are planned. The program is in its startup phase and you'll have the opportunity to follow the project over time, develop your project management skills, and gradually take on greater responsibility. Work Tasks As a junior project manager, you'll be part of the program organization and will initially work primarily with the localization study. You'll have a coordinating role, working closely with the study leader to lead and coordinate the team across the project's various areas. You'll work with project staff and suppliers to drive the work forward. The role includes planning, coordinating, and monitoring work, as well as participating in internal and external meetings. You're also responsible for following up on supplier deliverables and coordinate and lead project engineers together with the study leader and responsible project manager. You'll support project management by preparing materials for decisions, meetings, and follow-ups, as well as contribute strategies for different phases of the project. Over time, you'll take on greater responsibility for planning and management of the project's work. This is a role for you if you want to develop your project management skills and enjoy learning through taking responsibility. You're expected to contribute structure and engagement and will follow the project's development from localization study and railway plan through design, production, and handover. As you build experience, you'll take on more specialized tasks and develop broad expertise in project management and understanding of how a complex infrastructure project is planned, managed, and executed. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you're structured, driven, self-directed, communicative, and curious. You take responsibility for planning and driving your work forward and find it easy to create structure even when handling multiple issues simultaneously. You collaborate and communicate well with different professional roles and find it easy to create and maintain good relationships with both internal and external parties. You're curious to learn and enjoy developing through new tasks and challenges. We're looking for someone who has: a university degree in natural sciences or civil engineering, or alternatively another education combined with experience that we assess as equivalent several years of current and relevant work experience in management and leadership in a coordinating function within planning and/or construction of infrastructure good experience working in planning phases and plan implementation within infrastructure projects good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing a driver's license for a car It's an advantage if you have: experience with both road and railway plans experience with the consultation process for road or railway plans, including conducting consultations Other Information To ensure you don't miss important information about your application, make sure to keep yourself updated via My Career Page!
