In this role, you may start as a sub-project manager/project coordinator/supporting projects, or you may drive your own projects from the beginning. Our section at AFRY supports companies in, among others, the automotive and defense industries with everything from investment projects in production to product development or industrialization projects. We see an increased need for consultants with a background in engineering who want to take the next step in their career and move toward project management. In your role, you will help our customers meet the demands placed on their operations. Your assignment could include: · Taking responsibility for product development and leading a group of engineers from different disciplines – from idea to production, through requirements specification, design, verification/validation, and production. · Business development: developing a documented development methodology on behalf of the customer, which includes identifying needs, anchoring proposals, making decisions regarding system support, etc. Projects are typically conducted at our customers' sites in the Greater Stockholm area or in our own offices in Solna. Around you, you will have many competent colleagues and active knowledge sharing through internal lectures and mentoring opportunities. Qualifications You have an engineering degree in, for example, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or engineering physics. You have gathered a few years of experience since your degree; either as a designer or by supporting/driving your own projects – preferably in product development companies and/or in industrial projects. Particularly experience from the defense industry is considered very valuable. As a person, you are driven, communicative, and clear! You plan and drive both your own and others' work forward while always delivering results according to schedule. You are motivated by identifying new solutions and creating business opportunities. If you are certified in any of the following frameworks and areas: PMP, IPMA, PRINCE2, SAFe, or similar, this is a merit but not a requirement. If you are not already a certified project manager, we will provide the opportunity for certification to develop and feel confident in your role. You must have fluent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. For certain of our customers, security clearance is mandatory, which is why specific citizenship requirements are set during this recruitment; Swedish citizenship is a requirement.
