Job Responsibilities
As a junior land negotiator, you will grow into the role of land negotiator by initially supporting more experienced colleagues and independently being responsible for smaller cases and projects. As a land negotiator, you are involved in the entire chain from planning, design work, construction phase to handover of the completed facility. It is a varied role with responsibility for land access issues, which includes:
negotiating compensation for purchase of and encroachment on properties
establishing property law agreements
handling damage settlement/disputes
participating in planning and design work
representing the Swedish Transport Administration in land surveying procedures and other contact with authorities and individual property owners
The work sometimes involves meetings outside regular office hours, for example public consultation meetings, property owner meetings, and land surveying meetings.
With us, you have good development opportunities where we see that within a few years you take on a land negotiator role and independently provide support on property law issues in infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
Who are you?
We are looking for someone at the beginning of their career in this field who wants to work with and deepen their expertise in property law issues. The work involves many contacts with property owners, the public, and other stakeholders, both within and outside the Swedish Transport Administration. To succeed in the role, you therefore have excellent communication skills. You convey messages clearly and simply and adapt your communication to the recipient and situation.
You also have good analytical problem-solving skills and can analyze issues from multiple perspectives to contribute to well-founded solutions. Since the work is conducted in close collaboration with others, you also have good cooperation skills and contribute to constructive collaboration.
Furthermore, you are proactive and self-directed, take responsibility for your tasks, and see what needs to be done. You also work in a structured manner and plan your work efficiently.
We are looking for someone who
has a university or college degree of at least 180 ECTS credits (120 points) in surveying/civil infrastructure or law education with a focus on property law from 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026
has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
has a driver's license for a private car
It is advantageous if you
have about one year of current and relevant work experience in property law, or alternatively other experience that the Swedish Transport Administration considers equivalent
Other Information
In this recruitment, web-based tests are used as part of the selection process. We plan to hold interviews (digital or in person) during weeks 36-37. Due to vacation periods, it will take until the end of week 34 before we can provide further updates in the recruitment process.
The position is based in Solna. Would you like a flexible day with the opportunity to work from home? In this role, you can after some time have the opportunity to work remotely up to two days per week.
