The Swedish Transport Administration is now seeking a junior land negotiator for Uppsala with the drive to learn and develop to support the Four Tracks Uppsala project. Job Responsibilities As a junior land negotiator, you will grow into the role of land negotiator by initially supporting more experienced colleagues and independently taking responsibility for smaller cases and projects. As a land negotiator, you are involved in the entire chain from planning, design work, construction phase to handover of the completed facility. It is a varied role with responsibility for land access issues, which includes: negotiating compensation for property purchases and encroachments establishing property law agreements handling damage settlements/disputes participating in planning and design work representing the Swedish Transport Administration in surveying procedures and other contacts with authorities and individual property owners The work sometimes involves meetings outside regular office hours, for example coordination meetings with the public, landowner meetings, and surveying meetings. With us, you have good development opportunities where we see you within a few years taking on a land negotiator role and independently providing support on property law matters in infrastructure projects. Qualifications Who are you? We are looking for someone at the start of their career in this field who wants to deepen and broaden their expertise in property law matters. The work involves many contacts with landowners, the public, and other stakeholders, both within and outside the Swedish Transport Administration. To succeed in the role, you therefore have excellent communication skills. You convey messages in a clear and simple way and adapt your communication to the recipient and situation. You also have good analytical problem-solving skills and can analyze issues from multiple perspectives to contribute to well-founded solutions. Since the work is conducted in close collaboration with others, you also have good collaboration skills and contribute to constructive cooperation. Furthermore, you are proactive and self-directed, take responsibility for your tasks, and see what needs to be done. You also work in a structured manner and plan your work efficiently. We are looking for someone who has a university or college degree of at least 180 credits (120 credits) in surveying/infrastructure development or a law degree with a focus on property law of at least 180 credits (120 credits) obtained in 2025 or completing your degree by June 2026 good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing driver's license for a passenger car We welcome your application! Due to vacation periods, it will take until the end of week 34 before we can provide further information in the recruitment process. The position is based in Uppsala.
