SJR is now recruiting a Junior Controller for our client, a well-known company with offices in central Stockholm. This is a consulting position through SJR on a full-time basis starting 5/10 and running for 4 months. After that, there are good opportunities for extension. In this process, a background check will be conducted on the final candidate. About the Position We are looking for a Junior Controller who wants to work in a broad and developmental role with a focus on both financial work and business development. The role is suitable for you if you have an educational background in finance and enjoy combining accounting-related tasks with analysis, structure, and improvement work. Unlike a traditional controller role, the emphasis is not on extensive reporting or responsibility for a specific business area. Instead, you will serve as important support to the finance and controller function by contributing where the need is greatest. The role includes both ongoing financial work and more development-oriented assignments, which provides great opportunities to build broad expertise in finance and business management. Responsibilities You will work with, among other things: - Support in accounting and year-end closing work - Handling of supplier invoices and ongoing bookkeeping as needed - Provisions and other recurring financial processes - Documentation and development of routines and processes - Preparation and further development of calculations and financial models - Analysis and review of cost allocations - Support to controllers in budget and forecast work - Documentation of work methods and financial processes - Support and knowledge transfer regarding the use of Excel models and calculation tools - Participation in various improvement and development projects within the finance function Suitable Background We are looking for you who have a college or university degree in finance and who have a solid foundation in accounting. You have an understanding of financial processes and preferably experience from roles in accounting, controlling, audit, or financial administration. To succeed in the role, you need to understand the financial information and processes that underpin budget and forecast work. You have experience with calculations and financial analysis as well as a good understanding of cost allocation and financial relationships. You are comfortable working in Excel and have the ability to create structure in complex information. It is a merit if you have experience building, further developing, and documenting Excel models as well as supporting and training other users.
