Are you ready for a major challenge? The Investigation On-Call Section in Stockholm North is looking for you with solid experience in independent investigation work for a central role as an on-call investigation chief in Solna. As an on-call investigation chief, you will take on significant overall responsibility and make confident decisions at a fast pace. Will you be our new team member? 2 position(s). WORK TASKS As an on-call investigation chief, you step into the center of events. You are the one who sets the direction for the initial investigative measures in all cases within the police district. It is a multifaceted and operational key role where you manage detained suspects, review incoming cases, and supervise and collaborate with both field personnel and investigation resources. You will also play a central role in managing faster prosecution (SLF). Within the Investigation On-Call Section, you quality assure cases and drive the process forward to ensure an efficient judicial chain. To succeed in this role, you need a solid understanding of the agency's mission and governing documents, which allows you to independently make razor-sharp assessments and prioritizations in acute situations. Here's what you'll be working with: • Operational leadership: Manage initial investigative measures and supervise investigators and field personnel in cases of varying complexity. • Process-driven work: Lead preliminary investigations and report cases within the framework of faster prosecution (SLF). • Case management and workflow control: Manage the distribution of cases that are not completed directly within the investigation on-call unit to ensure efficient continuation of the process. • Collaboration and dialogue: Build strong bridges and create engagement together with investigators, IGV/BF personnel, and other functions in the area. • Quality assurance and coaching: Review reports and provide support and coaching to patrols conducting significant initial measures. QUALIFICATIONS This is an opportunity for you who have: • Swedish police certification according to Regulation (2014:1105) • Preliminary investigation leader training (the Police's national training or another that qualifies you as a preliminary investigation leader) • Relevant experience in independent criminal investigation work • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written It is meritorious if you also have: • Worked in an on-call environment or routinely managed investigations with detained individuals • Experience in supervision that the employer considers relevant • Completed one of the Police Authority's management training programs or other internal/external supervisory training • Experience and practice in preliminary investigation leadership that the employer considers relevant • Experience in close-range field service supervision Personal Qualities We are looking for you who have genuine overall responsibility, can see the complex whole, and can confidently take responsibility for prioritizations for the assignment both regarding ongoing operations and its results. Supervising and clearly communicating your decisions with both internal and external stakeholders will come naturally to you. The work's many contact points place high demands on having good collaboration skills, being communicative, and also being pedagogical so you can convey your knowledge and develop your team members. Furthermore, you are flexible, as you need to be able to take on preliminary investigation leadership in both serious crimes and less serious offenses. You need to be able to prioritize and handle stress well, as the workload is partly high and demanding, where you also need to make difficult decisions at a fast pace sometimes with incomplete information.
