Tomelilla Municipality has preschools, schools, and after-school care facilities both in Tomelilla town center and in surrounding areas. In Tomelilla town center, there are several facilities, including an OB preschool (extended hours preschool). The OB preschool offers childcare at inconvenient times for guardians who work evenings, nights, and weekends. As a substitute at the OB preschool, you may therefore work at times other than regular daytime hours.
Outside Tomelilla town center, our facilities are located in Onslunda, Smedstorp, and Brösarp. Regardless of location, you will be an important part of the activity and contribute to a safe, developmental, and stimulating environment for children and students.

WORK TASKS
As a substitute with us, you will have the opportunity to work in our preschools and schools when the need arises, sometimes with short notice. The position suits you if you are seeking flexible work and want to combine employment with studies or other activities.
You control your own availability through our staffing system and choose when you want and can work. Bookings are made based on the facilities' current needs, giving you great freedom to adapt the work to your schedule.
As a substitute, you can work at one or several of our preschools and/or schools; you choose which facilities you want to be connected to.
In your role as a childcare provider/substitute teacher, you contribute to creating a safe, educational, and stimulating environment where each child is given the opportunity to develop according to their abilities. You participate in the pedagogical work and support, inspire, and challenge children in their development and learning.
We are looking for someone who is confident, has a positive attitude, and enjoys working both independently and together with others. You find it easy to collaborate with different professional groups and contribute to a good work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a completed and approved upper secondary education. It is a merit if you are trained or studying to become a childcare provider, preschool teacher, teacher, or have other pedagogical education that the employer deems equivalent.
If you have previous experience working or doing an internship in a preschool, school, or after-school care facility, we see that as an advantage.
To thrive in the role, you have a genuine interest in children's development and learning. You are a safe, responsible, and attentive person who treats children with patience and respect. You have a calm demeanor, can create a sense of security in the group of children, and feel comfortable taking your own initiative and leading activities when needed.
Since you will communicate daily with children, guardians, and colleagues, you need to have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
For work in preschools/schools, a valid excerpt from the Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register is required. The excerpt must be presented before employment can be offered. An application form is available via the link below.
