The Communications Department works strategically and operationally to put Mittuniversitetet's education and research on the map. We work on recruiting students, making research visible, and creating good relationships internally and externally. We also keep our employees and the world around us updated on what's happening at our institution. Communications activities are centralized and all communicators at the university are part of the department. Are you a proud student at Mittuniversitetet and want to help recruit new students and work on activities aimed at our current students? We are seeking students from both our campus locations as well as distance learning students. It doesn't matter which program you're studying. What's important is that you want to inspire others to study with us and represent the university in accordance with our values. You will also work to create pride among our current students. Responsibilities Participate in student recruitment efforts. This could include, for example, chatting with prospective students during the application period or representing Mittuniversitetet at physical and digital events, such as fairs, webinars, Open House, school visits for primary and secondary school students, or study visits. Create digital content in Swedish and English in the form of posts and reels on Mittuniversitetet's social media channels such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. Be an extra when we film videos about Mittuniversitetet and take photos for our image bank. Your Background We are looking for someone who: Is a student at Mittuniversitetet Has strong oral and written skills in Swedish and English It is advantageous if you: Have experience meeting children and young people (sports instructor, part-time work at school, siblings, etc.). Speak and write one (or more) of the following languages: Arabic, Kurdish, Persian, Somali, or Tigrinya. Have experience creating content for social media such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. Are experienced in creating video content that requires editing. Have previous experience working as a student ambassador or Digital Ambassador at Mittuniversitetet. Have a driver's license. Your Qualities You have good collaborative skills and enjoy working both independently and in a group. You communicate clearly and professionally with people around you. Furthermore, you work in a structured and planned manner, which enables you to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. Employment and Start Date As a student ambassador at Mittuniversitetet, you will have what is called an intermittent employment arrangement. This means you will be part of a personnel pool and will be employed for each individual occasion and receive hourly compensation (see information on compensation). How much you get to work as a student ambassador varies, as you will be offered work when there is a need. This means you will be offered individual, short-term employment periods starting October 31, 2026 through October 31, 2027. You will also gain experience in what it's like to represent a brand. Working as a student ambassador is an excellent opportunity to build your CV, perhaps get to try what you learn in your program in practice, and develop for your upcoming career. To ensure you can represent Mittuniversitetet in the best way possible, we hold a training session for all newly hired student ambassadors where we go through our brand and what we stand for.
