Right now we are looking for you to become part of our wonderful team and work as a personal assistant during the summer in Örebro. What does the position involve? Our client is a wonderful 8-year-old girl who lives with her family in Örebro. She has autism, cerebral palsy, an intellectual disability, and is non-verbal. She uses a wheelchair and receives nutrition through a feeding tube, which means that as an assistant you need to be comfortable working with both personal care and medical procedures. As a personal assistant, you are an important part of the client's daily life. You help her at home with personal hygiene, getting dressed, tube feeding, mobility assistance, and other daily routines. You also participate in play, rehabilitative training, quiet activities, and walks. You contribute to creating security, structure, and predictability in the client's life. The work is hands-on, practical, and requires both calmness and attentiveness. Working hours vary, but are mainly evenings and weekends. Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone who is engaged, self-driven, and attentive. We especially value great patience and the ability to be personal while acting professionally. It's a plus if you enjoy music and have an interest in body and movement. Regardless of your age, life situation, and background, you could be the assistant we are looking for. We would like for you to: have a genuine interest in helping others. be able to understand and communicate in Swedish. be able to work flexible hours - day, evening, and weekends. have experience with autism. have experience working with feeding tubes. be able to use picture supports and AAC (alternative and augmentative communication). have experience in care and support (this is a plus, but not a requirement).
