There are schools where 7 out of 10 students do not meet upper secondary school eligibility requirements. At the non-profit Foundation Läxhjälpen, you contribute your expertise and commitment to help more students achieve the necessary requirements with confidence for the future. For the fall semester 2026, we are looking for homework tutors in Partille and Bergsjön who want to help lay the foundation for a successful school year! We are looking for you who are interested in a paid part-time job and at the same time want to make a concrete social impact. The position is an hourly employment for afternoons/evenings and involves being a homework tutor after school hours at one of our partner schools. You work in a team of three tutors where everyone is a university or college student. You will receive training in and work according to our structured approach. Each homework tutoring group consists of 15 students, and together with your colleagues, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the work. As a homework tutor, you can either work as a regular tutor or as a substitute. As a regular tutor, you work 6 hours per week distributed over two scheduled afternoons/evenings (opportunities for extra substitute shifts are available). As a substitute, you work when regular tutors are on leave or sick. The work is carried out after school hours in the school's facilities. We are looking for someone who: - Is a university or college student - Has pedagogical skills and can communicate and build relationships with children and young people. - Is solution-oriented, takes initiative, and can work according to our structured approach and method. - Has broad foundational subject knowledge and good study techniques. - Shares the Foundation Läxhjälpen's values and vision of a society where all children grow up with the ability to succeed in school and shape their own future. Since the job involves working with children, we place great emphasis on personal suitability. Providing a criminal record clearance from the police is a legal requirement to work with children and young people. Differences between schools, where you live, where you come from, and what your parents do increasingly determine how likely you are to succeed in school. The Foundation Läxhjälpen is a non-profit foundation that works where it is needed most. Läxhjälpen is free for students, and the tutors' wages are financed through support from the business sector and public sector. Läxhjälpen is a concrete initiative that addresses one of Sweden's greatest challenges today - increasingly more young people are not succeeding in school and risk being excluded from society. Carefully selected, paid university and college students help young people with their studies two evenings a week and are also positive role models and mentors. Since our start in 2007, we have developed a structured approach and a clear goal - grades should improve and students should advance to upper secondary school. Today we operate in over 90 schools in, among others, Stockholm, Södertälje, Västerås, Norrköping, Gothenburg, Landskrona, Umeå, Sundsvall, Uppsala, Gävle, and Malmö.
