No. 40900041735) announces a competition for the position of Senior Investigator Officer in the Customs Investigation Division of the Tax and Customs Police (1 vacancy for an indefinite period) The Tax and Customs Police is a direct administration agency under the supervision of the Minister of Interior, whose purpose is to ensure lawful, fair and efficient implementation of state administration functions in detecting, preventing and investigating criminal offenses and other violations of law in the field of state revenue and customs. If you have: academic or second-level professional higher education; experience in the field of detection and prevention of criminal offenses not less than two years (preferably acquired in the last 5 years); knowledge of legal acts in the field of detection and prevention of criminal offenses; ability to work under high-intensity conditions and find solutions in complex situations; compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the Law "On Tax and Customs Police" and Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law; compliance with the criteria specified in the second part of Article 9 of the Law "On State Secrets" and you are not prohibited from accessing state secret objects in accordance with the third part of Article 9 of the Law "On State Secrets"; an impeccable reputation. We will appreciate if you have a Category B driver's license. If you wish to invest your knowledge and skills in interesting and dynamic work and: Conduct investigations in criminal proceedings on criminal offenses in the customs field: review submitted information indicating a possible commission of a criminal offense and initiate criminal proceedings as soon as the grounds and basis provided by law are established, or refuse to initiate criminal proceedings; investigate criminal offenses in pre-trial criminal proceedings (including particularly complex and large-scale cases); ensure compliance with procedural tasks and instructions of courts, prosecutors and other competent authorities and officials; lead and/or participate in the work of investigation groups in the pre-trial process. Join our team because we offer: monthly salary from 1754 to 2565 EUR (gross), depending on your professional experience in the respective field acquired in the last five years; allowance for service rank; allowance related to the specific nature of the position (service, work), in the amount of 300 EUR; personal development and professional knowledge advancement; social guarantees; health insurance policy; additional vacation days according to work results. You will have the opportunity to obtain higher education at the expense of the state budget in part-time study programs based on the needs of law enforcement agencies: pre-trial investigation (bachelor's or master's degree); management of law enforcement, criminal sanctions and rescue services (master's degree); protection of economic security (master's degree). We will particularly appreciate candidates with: academic or second-level professional higher education in law, economics, business, administration (finance, banking and insurance, accounting and taxation) or legal science; Officer's service location: Talejās Street 1, Riga (on-site).
