The Education Administration of Jelgava City Municipality invites applications for a Senior Specialist in Education
The main objective is to contribute to the development of education quality in the city municipality. Monitor and improve the educational process and the quality of work of educational institutions in the municipality.
Job responsibilities:
develop and implement unified education quality assessment criteria in the municipality, analyze the obtained data and prepare proposals for improving educational processes and teaching quality;
systematically evaluate the work of educational institutions, results and the quality of program implementation according to unified criteria;
organ ize the professional performance evaluation process for managers of municipal educational institutions;
prepare a report on the achievement of education ecosystem goals and quality indicators;
prepare the "Education" section of the public report;
provide consultation and methodological support to educational institution management teams in the self-assessment of the pedagogical process and development planning;
consult with educational institution managers and oversee the implementation of the Unified School initiative;
monitor the quality of educational work in educational institutions and consult with deputy directors on matters of improving educational work;
coordinate the participation of educational institutions in student scientific research conferences, ensuring process organization and consultative support;
in cooperation with state and municipal institutions, develop a system of support measures for municipality students and their families;
promote public participation in education.
Requirements for candidates:
Higher education in pedagogy, education management, or management science.
At least 5 years of experience in the field of education or in the development/implementation of quality management systems.

· full-time employment (40 hours per week);
· employment contract of indefinite duration;
· monthly salary 1898,00 eiro (before tax payment, position classified in family 33 level IV, salary group 10);
