The Military Intelligence and Security Service (Must) conducts defense intelligence operations and military intelligence and security services to support Swedish foreign, defense, and security policy, as well as mapping external threats to Sweden. Primary Responsibilities As an IT Technician with us, you work in a broad and varied role where you are responsible for both daily operations and long-term development of our IT environments. You work with operational technology, mobile equipment for both personnel and vehicles, and the systems and applications that the organization depends on in its daily work. You work closely with the organization and end users, which requires you to translate business needs into stable, secure, and efficient technical solutions. You will work throughout the IT infrastructure: from networks and servers to clients, applications, and operational technology, and follow solutions through their entire lifecycle, from installation and configuration to operations, maintenance, and support. Examples of Work Tasks: Manage, develop, and optimize existing IT systems and technical environments. Responsible for operations, maintenance, and administration of standalone IT environments, including patching, updates, and server administration. Install, configure, and implement hardware, client equipment, and applications. Troubleshoot and resolve incidents within hardware, software, networks, and operational technology. Provide technical support and guidance to organization users. Participate in implementation of new technical solutions and contribute to development of existing infrastructure. Follow technical developments and actively contribute improvement suggestions, new approaches, and modern technical solutions. The work is varied and developmental in an organization where technology is constantly changing. Therefore, competence development and environmental monitoring are a natural part of the role. About the Unit The Security Intelligence Department works to identify, clarify, and counter security-threatening activities and conduct defense intelligence operations related to security-threatening actors. The Technical Collection Section is responsible for technical area expertise in security intelligence operations and investigations. Qualifications At least 5 years of professional experience in IT, with server operations or network operations Experience with automation Very strong experience with Linux Experience with virtualization solutions Experience with backup solutions Work with standalone hardened technical environments Class B driver's license Meritorious Experience working within the Swedish Armed Forces Experience administering various types of databases Work with large data flows The qualifications stated above must be verifiable upon request through certificates, references, and work or selection tests. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Other Information Employment Form: Permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period Start Date: By agreement Work Location: Stockholm Travel and other duty stations in the Mälardalen region will occur.
