Your responsibilities As an IT Technician, you will work with operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting in our printing environment. Your main responsibilities include: Working with operations, technical maintenance and management Performing daily system administration in applications such as PaperCut MF, HP Web Jetadmin and HP Security Manager, and participating in firmware updates, configurations and driver management. Analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving issues in system environments, including creating print queues. Handling more complex incidents and technical issues, such as escalated cases within 2nd and 3rd line support. This includes advanced troubleshooting of print flows, network-related printing issues, user support and handling of hardware failure reports to external vendors. Participating in implementations of changes in the IT environment according to established processes. Developing, maintaining and proactively updating technical documentation, operational instructions and guides for both end users and colleagues. Collaborating with colleagues and external vendors on more complex incidents or changes to contribute to the development and quality assurance of our IT services. Your workplace We are the municipality's IT department and belong to the Administration of Operations Support and Services. Here, approximately 120 employees work to deliver stable, secure and modern IT services to the municipality's operations - and in turn to students, users and residents. In the Office-Near IT unit, we are a team of approximately 10 employees who together are responsible for all of the municipality's printers and services within Audio & Video. This means we handle everything from printing solutions to video meetings, projectors and booking screens. Our mission is to make the work day easier and smoother for all employees by ensuring that office-near technology works seamlessly in everyday life. You who are applying have post-secondary education in IT, system administration or equivalent competence acquired through work experience. You have knowledge of IT system operations, troubleshooting and analysis in complex IT environments. Furthermore, you have documented experience of support work in second and/or third line, with experience in providing support both via remote control and on site (onsite). We see that you also have experience with printer incident management. If you have experience working in an IT environment in public operations, we consider that a merit. As an IT Technician, we see that you have experience working in Active Directory. We consider it a merit if you also have experience with the PaperCut MF printing platform. We also consider it a merit if you have previous experience with complex printer environments and FollowMe solutions as well as the ITIL process framework. We are looking for someone who works well with complex issues, analyzes and breaks down problems and solves complex technical issues. Furthermore, you are a person who plans and prioritizes your work efficiently, sets timeframes and is thorough in your execution. You work well with others, are responsive, have good communication skills both verbally and in writing, and enjoy sharing your knowledge with colleagues.
