The Swedish Agency for Total Defence Analysis is seeking an IT technician for operations and support
The Swedish Agency for Total Defence Analysis (MTFA) is tasked with monitoring, analyzing, and evaluating total defense activities from a systems perspective and providing the government with qualified knowledge-based support.
MTFA reports to the Ministry of Defence and is located in central Stockholm. The agency was established in 2023 and has approximately 40 employees.
We are now hiring an IT technician for operations and support.
Job Responsibilities
As an IT technician for operations and support, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the agency's IT infrastructure, technical support, and ensuring system availability, performance, and security. You have the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with complex environments and solve problems efficiently. You have a strong interest in technology, infrastructure, and networking, and are accustomed to working independently with both support and improvement initiatives. Your responsibilities include coordination, management, and development.
Examples of job tasks include:
planning and implementation of system optimization, updates, and maintenance,
ongoing internal user support and contact with vendors,
requirement gathering and implementation of system adaptations with vendors,
ongoing monitoring of IT infrastructure including network, backup, servers, and storage,
documenting changes, improvements, and solutions in a structured manner, and managing inventory and lifecycle management,
producing user guides and training materials,
incident management including continuity planning, troubleshooting, escalation, and reporting,
certificate management.
The position is placed in the Administrative Department. The department is responsible for executive and staff support, finance, legal affairs, records management, HR, IT, facility management, communication, and office services. The department also coordinates the agency's work on operational planning and follow-up.
You have
a professional diploma or upper secondary school diploma
at least three years of experience in IT infrastructure operations and maintenance
experience with security updates and system configuration
experience with IT systems with high security requirements
strong ability to communicate and provide guidance in user support contexts
ability to work independently and as part of a team
It is advantageous if you have
professional certifications in common system solutions

Other Information
The place of work is Stockholm. The position is a permanent employment that begins with a six-month probation period. The position is classified as a security position, which requires Swedish citizenship. Employment requires a satisfactory result in the security clearance with background check, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act. Start date by agreement.
